At the first football game at Notre Dame Stadium after the attacks on September 11, 2001, the Spartan Marching Band and Notre Dame Band combined at halftime to play Amazing Grace in a show of unity among all Americans. 10 years later, the two bands joined once again to commemorate the tragic events and pay tribute to the lives lost.
