🏀On June 7, 1993 New Jersey Nets guard Drazen Petrovic was killed in an automobile accident in Germany. Petrovic was just 28 years old. Petrovic's jersey number 3 was retired by the Nets soon after, and in 2002, he was posthumously enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
