The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Bridge, also known as Barikot bridge was built 40 years ago and served as an integral part of the trade and transportation in Swat. Due to severe flood damage in 2010, however, many people in the area were left without necessary supplies, provisions and aid. The UAE Pakistan Assistance Program reconstructed this bridge with modern engineering and state-of-the-art materials making it one of the program’s most significant projects yet. #UAEPAP #GovtofUAE #Gov
