You may have noticed I do a lot of isometric gymnastics-style training to build my structure, as well as a lot of unilateral and "bipolar" exercises. You can get hella strong using your bodyweight. Unilateral exercises are a great way to showcase imbalances between right and left, and they are also a great way to address your imbalances (this applies the StrongFit Rules of Exercise). Three days ago I did an upper body workout that focused more on unilateral movements and power. It was also trap focused. So today I did a workout that’s more of a traditional bilateral hypertrophy workout. Felt good to do basic exercises with more volume and get a good pump. I love both styles of training so I like to alternate if I can.
