In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth, we turn to the testimony of Paul Parks, a WWII veteran and civil rights activist. Paul fought in WWII as a combat engineer, where he was one of the first ashore on Omaha Beach in 1944 to clear mines from the hillsides. Later, in 1945, he was ordered to go to Dachau concentration camp, where he assisted in identifying and burying the dead. In his 1995 USC Shoah Foundation testimony, he speaks about the horrors he witnessed at Dachau and the impact it had on him. Af
