A sealed ecosystem - how does it work? This is one of our most recent bespoke terrariums: a self-sustaining ecosystem that requires very little maintenance. Just a spray here and there every few months. Through the interchange of photosynthesis and respiration - Oxygen and CO2 are exchanged allowing the plants to ‘breathe’. The closed container allows for a sealed, continuous water cycle that keeps the ecosystem hydrated. This container has a vent for aeration, meaning some extra H20 is required
