When I first spotted this lake during the summer, I saw thick matted weeds all over giving me no choice but to wait until winter to fish it. As I headed out, I knew I’d be lucky to find a spot deeper than 4 feet. But at over 100 acres in size, I didn’t lose hope. A lake like this could still hold small populations of pike and perch.
