ERMA packs up. ERMA—which stands for “Electronic Recording Machine of Accounting”—was on display at the Bank of America in Concord, CA. Donated by the bank, the rare vintage system had to be carefully packed for the move to CHM. The system has five main parts: a control console, document sorter, power supply, magnetic tape unit, and printer—totaling 48 feet in length!
