That one year is up, Ian has left Club Champion and started his own company called Ian Fraser Golf, which I presume can't do any clubfitting

Nov 1, 2022 · Was not TXG holding it up. I totally get it and IMO as much as I enjoy their channel my take is that they should have just bought these clubs instead to avoid the viewers' perception of 'conflict of interest' in testing out the clubs (not necessarily PXG but in general).

May 25, 2023 · TXG is definitely better than any other fitter in terms of equipment availability etc. The knowledge they have is pretty extensive on what will work just based on seeing you swing etc. It's definitely worth it if you are looking long term on irons as they upcharge for all shafts as they build them in house.

Jan 10, 2022 · Seems like a great move financially for Ian, but am very curious to see what this means for TXG and their offering long term. They used VA as that is who offered the shafts for free as a giveaway! Why not take free stuff to give as the big offer was the trip to Pinehurst, vs. a full bag fitting like in their first big giveaway.

Apr 18, 2023 · Along with TXG, they acquired fitting operations in the UK and Australia. The majority owner of TXG was an outside investor who I'm sure was ready to cash out. I'd anticipate that Ian fades away from CC/TXG eventually and then resurfaces elsewhere once any non-compete expires. Years ago, Hot Stix was purchased by a private equity group.

Oct 11, 2022 · TXG isn't some huge conglomerate with Ian as a spokesperson. If there was a lawsuit, I can't see Ian even capitulating, let alone without any awkwardness as TXG is his baby. I'd bet he'd let the online content die and just build clubs before he was forced to take somebody back into the fold.

Jan 13, 2022 · Had a nearly identical experience a couple months ago. Full bag fitting, but was fit (elsewhere) with a SIM2 driver a few weeks prior with a stock HZRDUS RDX Black shaft, which as far as I know is "real deal" and not "made for".
