U.S. stocks pulled back from their all-time high on Friday as they closed out a second straight winning week. The S&P 500 slipped 0.3% a day after setting a record. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 140 points,

Just because Wall Street likes a stock doesn't mean it's a great pick. However, it's not a bad idea to at least consider how analysts view a given stock. After all, their opinions are (or at least, should be) based on a thorough review of the underlying businesses for the stock.

I make note of the four stocks analysts most adore, and the four they most despise. In performance over the next year, there's little difference.
