Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty is asking the court to vacate the 1998 murder conviction of Bryan Hooper Sr. after the star witness in his trial confessed to committing the crime.

Polls are now open for a special primary election to fill the house seat held by the late representative Melissa Hortman.
