A wide-reaching Sahara dust plume is sweeping across the Caribbean and expected to impact parts of the southern US this week.
The plume is forecast to move northwest and reach Florida mid-week, then hit other states including Georgia, the Carolinas, Texas and Louisiana by Friday, radar shows.
The colossal plume is expected to hit Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi late this week and into the weekend.
