The Cody Fire perimeter as of the morning of May 23 showed a handful of structures within the fire's footprint.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says five homes have been destroyed, one was damaged, and eight other structures burned.

The Cedar Fire was burning in Oracle in Pinal County, unrelated to the nearby Cody Fire, which forced evacuations.
