Detroit’s defensive line just took a big hit before the season even started. Lions defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike is officially out for all of 2025 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL, head coach Dan Campbell confirmed at the start of training camp on Sunday.
As he is preparing for his third season with the Lions, David Montgomery has newfound motivation in this year's training camp.
On Sunday, Lions coach Dan Campbell revealed that Onwuzurike underwent ACL surgery and will miss the entire 2025 season. “Let me start with Levi. Levi’s out for the year," Campbell said. "Levi’s surgery, it was significant but it needed to be done. Out of his control, so he will miss the season.”
