The revelation that Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Donald Trump that his name was in the Jeffrey Epstein files has focused fresh attention on the president’s relationship with the wealthy financier.

President Donald Trump was listed as a contributor to the birthday book sent to Jeffrey Epstein, the New York Times alleged on Thursday. The book was part of a collection of notes compiled for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003.

During Mr. Trump's first term, his labor secretary, Alexander Acosta, resigned following criticism of his handling of Epstein's 2008 plea deal when he was a federal prosecutor in Florida.
