Iran’s wartime chief of staff and other senior officials have been killed by the Israeli military, further weakening Iran’s leadership.

Ali Shadmani, perhaps the most senior military leader in Iran's now-decapitated armed forces, was reportedly assassinated just days into taking his position.

Iran and Israel continued to exchange attacks into Tuesday amid the latest round of conflict between the two nations.
