OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball needs a win to stay alive in the NCAA baseball tournament. The No. 1 seed Rebels (41-20) face No. 2 Georgia Tech (41-19) on June 1 (2 p.m. CT, SEC Network).

OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball won a slugfest to keep their season alive in the NCAA tournament regionals. The No. 1 Rebels beat No. 2 Georgia Tech 11-9 in an the elimination game on June 1.

After Georgia Tech left the bases loaded in the 2nd, Ole Miss added another run. They got a leadoff double and then a single to put runners on the corners with no outs.

It is the second elimination game the Rebels have won. Ole Miss beat No. 3 Western Kentucky 8-6 on May 31 to get to the game on June 1. Hunter Elliott threw 115 pitches in that game in six innings.
