HOOD RIVER, Ore. (KATU) — The Burdoin Fire has burned 10,730 acres and remains uncontained, fire managers said on Monday morning. At 6 a.m. this morning, Complex Incident Management Team Northwest 13 assumed command for the fire. 417 total personnel are battling this blaze.

A new wildfire erupted on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge the afternoon of July 18, which has closed Highway 14.

The Burdoin fire burning on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge grew to 8,700 acres on Sunday and is 0% contained. Level 3 (go now) evacuations are in effect for residents in Lyle and High Prairie in Klickitat County.
