President Trump said late Thursday he's ending trade talks with Canada, citing an anti-tariff ad campaign by the province of Ontario that uses former President Ronald Reagan's voice.

President Trump announced on social media late Thursday night that he was ending all trade negotiations with Canada because of a video ad paid for by the province of Ontario that quoted his Republican presidential predecessor Ronald Reagan criticizing tariffs.

Trump's announcement came after the Canadian province began running a TV ad that features a speech by Ronald Reagan.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute claimed that Ontario's ad "misrepresents" what Reagan said in a 1987 address on tariffs.

Air Canada also failed you. The Montreal Convention requires airlines to honor valid tickets and boarding passes. If there was a ticketing error, it should have worked with Lufthansa to resolve it immediately, not abandon you at the gate. Both airlines’ “not our problem” responses are unacceptable.
