Eagles security chief Dom DiSandro visited injured New York Giants rookie Cam Skattebo in the hospital, reportedly bringing pizza and cheesesteaks after the gruesome ankle injury.
Before the New York Giants drafted him, the San Francisco 49ers were high on running back Cam Skattebo. San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed on Wednesday that the Niners considered taking Skattebo and "loved him" during the NFL draft process.
The Giants placed Skattebo on injured reserve on Tuesday. They used his roster spot to claim cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse off waivers from the Browns. Bernard-Converse played only five defensive snaps in five games for the Browns this season and has only 15 defensive snaps in three career seasons. He has 241 career special teams snaps.
The New York Giants were devastated on Sunday with the loss of rising star running back Cam Skattebo. In their 38-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Skattebo went down with a season-ending ankle injury.
