Audio streaming platform Spotify said it has removed a podcast from influencer Andrew Tate for violating the company's policies.

In a statement to The Guardian, Spotify claimed that the content was removed because it “violated our policies, not because of employee discussion.” Per the outlet, the streaming service doesn’t remove content based on an individual’s behavior outside of the platform—the whole Joe Rogan debacle should serve as pretty good evidence of that—but it does have a policy to remove content that makes “dehumanising” statements about groups based on protected characteristics like gender or sexuality.

Spotify has removed self-professed misogynist Andrew Tate’s course on “Pimping Hoes”, however many of his courses and podcast episodes still remain on the streaming platform including one called “How to get girls FAST and EASY.

Andrew Tate’s podcast titled “pimping hoes degree” has been removed from Spotify following reported complaints from internal staff at the platform, as well as a petition which has garnered tens of thousands of signatures.
