TikTok has finalised a deal with the White House that will allow the video-sharing app to continue operating in the United States, ending a years-long dispute over its Chinese ownership.
The deal came in response to a law passed by former President Joe Biden, which threatened to ban TikTok in the US if ByteDance did not sell TikTok's operations in the country.
American users can continue using the same app as Oracle takes lead on storing US data locally with algorithm to be retrained on US user data.
