The attendance record was set by drawing fans out for the “Toilet Paper Toss” game, harkening back to a tradition born in the 1980s when fans would throw rolls of toilet paper onto the court.

Right before tip-off inside of McGuirk Arena, Chippewa fans packed the seats and had toilet paper rolls at the ready to throw. Brian Taylor went up for the pre-game dunk, and the TP flooded the court.

Now, the toilet paper toss is back for one time only. It will take place 13 minutes before the 7:00 tip-off Saturday night, Jan. 28 against Western Michigan.
