One of Disneyland's classic thrill rides closed for refurbishment a couple of weeks before the start of the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration, and work has been taking place on the attraction since that time.

Disneyland has bid a temporary goodbye to its iconic Main Street Cinema as work continues on the installation of a new tribute to the Sherman Brothers. The legendary songwriting duo played a crucial role in developing music for The Walt Disney Company, ranging from original film score to theme park tracks.

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room just reopened after an extended closure. The garden is looking refreshed, and some elements have been repainted. The Tangaroa Tree has been completely rebuilt and is now back in working order again as part of the pre-show in the garden area.

In the midst of the park’s 70th anniversary celebration, one of its most famous rides, the Haunted Mansion, is temporarily closing for two weeks. During this brief closure, guests won’t be able to experience the eerie charm of the iconic ride located in New Orleans Square.

Disneyland quietly pushed back the debut of “Walt Disney — A Magical Life” by two months from May 16 to July 17 as Walt Disney Imagineering continued to work on the Audio-Animatronic figure of the park’s visionary founder. The original date coincided with the kickoff of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration.
