The Chicago Bears have interviewed Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver for their head coaching job.

Anthony Weaver, who spent the 2024 NFL season as Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator, interviewed this week with the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints.

The Chicago Bears have kicked started their head coach search by requesting interviews with some prominent names, including Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. But an intriguing candidate has emerged for Chicago's coaching vacancy.

Johnson has been the Lions offensive coordinator for the last three seasons and is one of the most coveted head coach candidates this year. Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver may be exactly what the Chicago Bears are looking for. Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that

Miami’s defensive coordinator had previously interviewed for head coaching vacancies before taking the job with the Dolphins last offseason.
