Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia "must not receive any rewards" for its ongoing military assault on his country, ahead of the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska on Friday, August 15.

During the press conference, U.S. President Donald Trump added that he was "a little bothered" by Zelensky's words regarding "constitutional approval" for land swaps as part of a potential peace agreement.

Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke by phone on Aug. 11, underscoring that Ukraine must be directly involved in any discussions on ending Russia’s war, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.
