Family members identified the 9-year-old girl who died at Hersheypark's waterpark in Hershey, Pennsylvania, last week.

The Dauphin County Coroner’s office cited “fresh water drowning” as the cause of death for a child after an incident at Hersheypark last week.

"A bright, kind, and loving young girl, Sophia brought joy and light to everyone who knew her," BCH Chairman Tilak Niroula said in a statement shared with WPMT.
