United Airlines and JetBlue launched their new "Blue Sky" partnership, offering the earning and redeeming of miles across both airlines.

JetBlue and United Airlines’ new partnership, called Blue Sky, launched on Thursday. It’s not a code share, but a program that allows travelers on each airline to earn and redeem points on the other.

The airline says the routes were made possible by the additional space it won through the city’s airport gate reallocation process this fall.
