New York put right-handed hurler Tylor Megill (5-5, 3.95 ERA) on the 15-day IL retroactive to Sunday with a right elbow strain. It also recalled fellow right-hander Justin Garza from Triple-A Syracuse. Megill allowed six runs (three earned) on seven hits in 3.2 innings against Tampa Bay on Saturday.
