OPEC+ may make an increase in oil output for August at its meeting on Saturday that is larger than the 411,000 barrels per day (bpd) hikes it made for May, June and July, three sources familiar with OPEC+ talks told Reuters.

Oil prices fell on Friday on the expectation that Opec agrees to another increase in crude output over the weekend and that the possible resumption of US-Iran nuclear talks in Oslo will reduce risks to global supplies.

Oil prices edged down during Friday’s trading session in Asia, with investors closely watching for clues from the forthcoming OPEC+ meeting. Meanwhile, new sanctions imposed by the U.S. on Iran helped prevent a sharper drop in crude prices.
