UNION GROVE — Veteran Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department member Tim Allen has been selected as the department’s new chief, the joint Union Grove and Yorkville Fire Commission announced Friday.

Tim Allen made over $100 million from Home Improvement and earned more than $1 million per episode, making him TV’s highest-paid actor at the time.
