Thomas Detry was a name that was already well-known on the tracks around Brussels, Belgium, and Champaign, Illinois, before the 32-year-old made a much bigger name for himself in Phoenix over the weekend.

The 32-year-old Belgium golfer Thomas Detry punched his first PGA tour win at the 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open finishing -24 after the four-day tournament.

One hole later, Detry poured in a 14-foot birdie on perhaps the most challenging hole at TPC Scottsdale and his lead was five, matching his biggest lead. He'd get one more birdie on 17 before parring 18 to sign for a 6-under 65.
