NBC snagged its NBA lead color commentator on Wednesday as Reggie Miller is set to join the network for its 2025-26 season coverage, according to Front Office Sports. The network announced Mike Tirico as its lead play-by-play announcer last week,

“There is a flag,” CBS play-by-play standby Jim Nantz announced to the masses watching at home. Kevin Harlan, calling the game for Westwood One Radio, echoed the call. Except, no penalty had been called. The play would count. The Kansas City Chiefs were one clock-killing drive away from a third straight Super Bowl.

Hall of Famer Reggie Miller has finalized a deal to join NBC’s new NBA coverage as a color commentator, according to Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports. The move reunites Miller with a national television audience after spending the past two decades as one of the lead analysts for TNT’s NBA broadcasts.

Thursday's game at Sacramento was Houston's second on TNT this season (the first was an NBA Cup quarterfinal win over Golden State in December). Kevin Harlan had the play-by-play duties for that game, and he came away impressed, even considering the loss.

The former Pacers sharpshooter is poised to be a top color commentator when the NBA returns to NBC next season, sources told Front Office Sports. He will call games alongside play-by-play broadcasters Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle.
