The Florida Panthers needed a little spark coming into Saturday after winning four of their past 10 games. One would have thought it would be on the offensive side of the ice to do it, but no, it was their goalie.

The Florida Panthers did not have Sam Reinhart for much of their game against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night, but they had Spencer Knight. That and a second-period goal from Jesper Boqvist was enough for a win.

Sam Reinhart leads the Panthers in goals (27) and points (51), while Matthew Tkachuk is second in both points (40) and assists (26). Recently named the “Athlete of the Year” in his native Finland, captain Aleksander Barkov ranks third in points (38) and first in assists (27).

Panthers goaltender Spencer Knight is 4-1 with 133 saves on 142 shots (.937 save percentage) with a 1.61 goals-against since Dec. 22.

The Panthers went 2-2-0 in their four games out west, beating the Anaheim Ducks 5-2 on Tuesday, falling to the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 on Wednesday, winning against the San Jose Sharks 7-2 on Saturday and losing to the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1 on Sunday.
