Several inches of rain fell within 24 hours in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington, flooding at least two rivers, closing schools, and leaving people without power Tuesday.

Back-to-back storms have hit the Pacific Northwest, prompting the governor of Washington to declare a state of emergency. Flooding and mudslides have also hit Oregon, and the weather is e3xpected to stay the same for the rest of the week.
