Multiplayer Java Minecraft has a fantastic community inhabiting thousands of servers. Most of these servers are either hosted locally or from third-party services, but there are realms run by Mojang.

Minecraft: Bundles of Bravery adds bundles, as well as Hardcore mode for Java Edition Realms. It was announced at Minecraft Live 2024.

If you missed your chance the first time around, Mojang has allowed more players to redeem their free copy of Minecraft on Windows 10 if they already own the Java Edition.
