The Juneau County Sheriff's Office confirmed Virgil Thew, 47, of New Lisbon, was apprehended Thursday in Elroy after being on the run for more than a week.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. deputies with St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to an apparent triple homicide at 1599 Sawmill Road in Amite.
