The results of Week 9 of the college football season caused changes near the top of the USA TODAY Sports NCAA Re-Rank 1-136.

After a wild Week 9 brought another round of big coaching changes in college football, it's time to shift our attention forward to Week 10 with some early predictions for this week's biggest games.  The Week 10 slate features a trio of ranked matchups and some of the nation's best getting important tests in conference play.

The Texas Longhorns have managed to keep their College Football Playoff ambitions within reach following their 45-38 overtime victory against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday. This win comes after their 16-13 overtime win against the Kentucky Wildcats in week 8.

No. 10 BYU and No. 13 Texas Tech are the two highest ranked teams in the Big 12. They square off on Nov. 8 at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The No. 22 Texas Longhorns, led by quarterback Arch Manning, face the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025 at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Miss.

Texas A&M looks like one of college football's best teams, Vanderbilt's a legitimate College Football Playoff contender, and BYU has earned respect in the Big 12 title picture entering Week 10 in Sunday's latest Coaches Poll top 25 rankings.

This season, Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia has emerged as one of college football's top quarterbacks. As Texas coach Steve Sarkisian put it Monday, "Obviously, the quarterback is the tip of the spear."
