Tennessee's all-time football results against Oklahoma
Tennessee first played Oklahoma in the 1939 Orange Bowl following its national championship season in 1938. The Vols shut out Oklahoma, 17-0, to complete an undefeated season. The two teams also played in the 1967 Orange Bowl with the Sooners winning, 26-24. Oklahoma won at home in 2014, recording a 34-10 victory.
Aguilar threw for a season-high 396 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tennessee to a 56-34 win at Kroger Field on Oct. 25. The Vols (6-2, 3-2 SEC) had three 100-yard receivers in Chris Brazzell II, Braylon Staley and Mike Matthews.
The Tennessee Volunteers were back on the road this week following last week's road loss in Tuscaloosa. The Vols would be in Lexington, Kentucky this go around and the result would be much different.

The Vols and Wolverines have played one time previously. Tennessee defeated Michigan, 45-17, in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2002. Tennessee also played in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2024, defeating Iowa, 35-0.

Tennessee will enter the game with the No. 3 offense in FBS, averaging 510 yards per game. Oklahoma will counter with the No. 6 defense, allowing just 240 yards a contest. The game will kick at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
