With a home run that cleared the roof of the outfield pavilion, Ohtani's home run got recognized with a special plaque at Dodger Stadium before Game 3 of the 2025 World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Dodgers commemorate every home run that clears the roof of the outfield seats, no matter the player or team that did it.

Shohei Ohtani smiled and laughed about the derisive chant directed at him late in Toronto’s opening win. Blue Jays fans remain stung he signed with the Dodgers in December 2023 rather than their team.

No one is a bigger fan of Shohei Ohtani than his parents, Kayoko and Toru Ohtani. Since welcoming their son on July 5, 1994, the couple have supported the talented pitcher throughout his baseball career. When he was a child, Shohei's father, Toru, even coached him in the sport.
