More than 70 years after his death, “Shoeless” Joe Jackson is finally eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame.

MLB announced Tuesday that Rose and 16 others would be removed from its permanently ineligible list, saying the lifetime ban had served its purpose and was no longer deemed necessary.

Manfred ruled that his lifetime ban ended with his death.
