At least eight cruise passengers were among those sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers from a Florida grower, according to a Friday update from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC did not identify the ships or the cruise companies where the passengers fell ill.
Spectrum Brand Pets is voluntarily recalling one of its reptile food products due to potential salmonella contamination, according to a May 23 notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The recalled product is the Tetra ReptoMin 3-In-1 SELECT-A-FOOD, which is intended for aquatic turtles.
