Washington D.C. -- A D.C. Superior Court Judge has awarded an historic Black church control over the Proud Boys trademark after the group defaulted on a $2.8 million judgment.

A judge awarded the trademarked name and symbols to a Washington, D.C., church to help satisfy a $2.8 million judgment against the far-right group.

The Proud Boys lost control of their trademarked name on Monday after a judge in Washington, DC, ruled that it be handed over to a Black church that was attacked by members of the far-right group four years ago.
