The Philadelphia 76ers will begin the 2025-25 regular season on the road against the Boston Celtics as the team hopes to have a bounce-back season following a disastrous year that led to them landing the No. 3 overall pick in the draft .

The Philadelphia 76ers got themselves a steal in the 2024 NBA draft when they landed Duke guard Jared McCain with the No. 16 overall pick. The 6-foot-3 guard was showing off his full arsenal as he was in the running for Rookie of the Year before suffering a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee.

Thursday afternoon was a holiday for NBA beat writers across the country, as the league released its full 2025-26 regular season schedule. The Sixers have an 80-game schedule set; it will eventually add another two contests to get to the customary 82.

The 76ers will begin the 2025-26 NBA season against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Oct. 22. But they won’t stay on the road for long. The Sixers will head home for two straight and will play at Xfinity Mobile Arena for 14 of their first 23 games.

The Philadelphia 76ers are placed in Group B for the 2025-26 version of the NBA Cup and will be looking to advance out of group play to get to the knockout rounds and then the semifinals in Las Vegas. The Sixers have been unable to advance yet in the in-season tournament as the NBA Cup goes for its third straight season.
