Action News 5 on MSN‘It was a loud boom:’ Many Shelby Drive residents still without power after stormA short-lived but powerful storm knocked down 13 poles on Shelby Drive overnight, according to Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW).
Over a dozen power lines were down along the road at Shelby Drive and Getwell, Memphis Light Gas and Water said Thursday.
Utility crews have been working since nearly 8 p.m. Thursday night to restore power in the southern end of Memphis.
As of around 7:45 p.m. on July 17, outages were reported across Shelby County, with a bulk of those Berclair area.
