Massimiliano Allegri has returned to Milan to replace Sergio Conceicao as head coach. Former Porto head coach Conceicao was sacked after just five months in charge on Thursday following a disappointing eighth place finish in Serie A that saw the club miss out on European qualification for 2025-26.

Massimiliano Allegri has been hired as AC Milan’s new coach and tasked with restoring to glory the crisis-hit team that he won Serie A with nearly 15 years ago.

AC Milan have reappointed Massimiliano Allegri as their head coach. The 57-year-old Italian previously managed the Serie A club from June 2010 to January 2014. Allegri succeeds Sergio Conceicao, who was sacked on Thursday after only six months in charge of the Rossoneri.
