A further booing incident involving McLaren driver Lando Norris occurred at the F1 2025 Mexican Grand Prix, it has emerged.

During the aftermath of the race, the reason why Norris was booed was revealed. As per The Race, Norris was told by a Mexican journalist (Carlos Jalife from Fast Mag) that the booing came following McLaren's team orders controversy from the Italian Grand Prix.

LANDO NORRIS has somehow become the pantomime villain in F1 while he charges to the title. The McLaren 25-year-old has now been booed at two Grands Prix this season after standing on the podium.

With McLaren so dominant in the first half of the season, Norris’ task looked colossal. The destiny of the title was still in his hands, but to get back on top he needed nothing less than five wins in a row – assuming Piastri finished second in all of them. That would have been just enough to swing the 35 points.
