Egyptian inflation is expected to have eased to 24.2% in December as food prices continued to cool, according to a poll released on Wednesday.

Ghana and Egypt have announced their inflation figures for December 2024 as Nigeria awaits its own release. Samuel Kobina Annim, statistician at the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), said the country’s December consumer inflation rate rose to 23.
