Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama attended a "long life prayer" offered to him by the Central Tibetan Administration on behalf of the Tibetan people to mark his 90th birthday.

The spiritual town of Dharamshala came alive with devotion, colour, and celebration ahead of the 14th Dalai Lama's 90th birthday. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu were among the notable dignitaries who attended the celebrations at the Tsuglagkhang Temple,

Dharamshala, the scenic hill town in Himachal Pradesh, is currently the epicentre of global spiritual energy, and it’s not because of its mountains. Hollywood actor Richard Gere landed here this week to join in the celebrations for the upcoming 90th birthday of the 14th Dalai Lama, and he’s not the only one making the pilgrimage.
