John Hancock was first to sign Declaration of Independence, the first governor of Massachusetts and president of the Second Continental Congress.

The property, which was named after John's younger brother Ebenezer, was built in the mid-1760s, before the American Revolution.

McRill, a Grosse Pointe native, cut his teeth in front-of-house operations at Michelin-starred Chicago restaurants, such as Alinea, and the since-closed restaurants Blackbird and Tru, and in New York City, his own restaurant Rebelle earned a Michelin star within months of opening.
